K-5th TEACHER
I was born and raised in Grants Pass, Oregon, and went to Western Oregon University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Education. I have moved around Oregon quite a bit, but settled down in a small town called Drewsey, Oregon. I love living here because I’m in the middle of nowhere!

Becca Herinckx
6-12 MATH TEACHER
I grew up in Bend, but moved to Portland for school and ended up in Salem. There, I graduated from Western Oregon University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education and a concentration in mathematics. I’ve moved around a lot between Washington and Oregon, but found my place in Portland.

Kristin Holmes
SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER
Born and raised in Salem, Oregon, I loved school and knew early on that I wanted to be a teacher. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in History from Linfield College, then a Master’s in Teaching from the University of Phoenix online. Now, I live with my husband and two boys. When we can, we travel, with a goal to visit every MLB park and as many zoos as possible for my boys - one is aiming for the big leagues, while the other wants to be a Zoologist in Australia. As for me, I hope to one day live in Europe or the UK!

Ken Kollmer
FRENCH TEACHER
I was born in Doylestown, PA, and grew up in a nearby rural part of NJ. Later, I attended NYU and settled in Brooklyn after graduation. I bounced from Tucson, AZ, back in to Lehigh Valley, PA, before moving to Portland, OR, in 2012. After one semester abroad in Paris, I'm dying to make it back to Europe soon!

6-12 MUSIC
I grew up moving between the PNW and Australia, and became a dual citizen when I was 15. I hold several degrees: B.A. in Voice, B.M. in Contemporary Music, M.M. in Jazz Studies and a M.A. in Teaching. I’ve had the privilege of performing all over the world, with my favorites being Las Vegas, Cuba, and the Sydney Opera House. My husband and I have a duo called Beauty and the Bass, and we play in various other performing groups on the regular. My favorite genres to teach are Funk, Soul and Rock!

Jeff Latter
HEALTH & PHYS ED TEACHER
Originally from the Midwest, I grew up in a tiny agriculture setting before attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and then the UNL Teachers College to earn my credentials in Education. After moving to the Northwest, I attended Concordia, and then George Fox University whilst teaching K-12 subjects in ELA, Social Studies, Health, PhysEd, and more. Joining Stellar and the world of virtual teaching has been a long-time personal and professional goal to balance the efficacy, equity, and adaptability of today's education for all students and families.

Lizzy Toll
SCIENCE TEACHER
As an Oregon native, I earned my B.S. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and my M.S. in Science Education from Oregon State University. Since then, I’ve taught middle and high school, as well as running a small tutoring business to support students with math and science. When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me tending my four aquariums, spoiling my cat, Larry, or playing board games with my husband.
